On 1 May this year, PST CLC Mitsui-Soko launched a branch office in Rotterdam. In the first phase this branch took over some of the existing clients, who were previously contracted from Prague. These are mainly shipments to and from the port of Rotterdam. The new office in the Netherlands is currently focusing on attracting new clients in the field of transport, warehousing and customs services. Newly there were expanded services for an existing client, Mitsui Chemicals.

PST CLC Mitsui-Soko in Rotterdam has expanded its services for Mitsui Chemicals to include complex logistics. “The goods are transported from Japan in containers to our partner warehouse, where they are unloaded and stored, followed by distribution to the end customers according to the client’s requirements,” says Jan Bláha, Director of Transport at PST CLC Mitsui-Soko.

The company expects more clients like this. “Being right here in Rotterdam brings us closer to our customers and potential customers, which delivers advantages. We currently have a number of new projects in the pipeline thanks to the new branch,” says Jan Bláha. He added that one of the clients is planning to import a new product to Europe that needs to be stored within a controlled temperature. PST CLC Mitsui-Soko will provide a comprehensive logistics chain – sea freight, receiving in Rotterdam, loading and subsequent distribution within Europe.

PST CLC Mitsui-Soko in Rotterdam is also planning to expand its customs services. “From the autumn we would like to directly handle the customs procedure ourselves in Rotterdam,” adds Jan Bláha.
